TK has been checking out the a lot of the comments about his shoes on the site the last couple weeks, and he keeps noticing people claim you can’t skate in them. “Shit’s funny because to me this is the best shoe I’ve skated in. We got the laces hidden so they don’t rip, vulk sole which grips the best, and a lot of people don’t know about the sock liner which makes it so comfortable and secure. I just strap up for support then tuck em under my pants and I’m good.” And what’s talk if you don’t back it up? Here’s a fakie tail fakie heel out sequence Terry got this weekend.
And when TK’s not skating? “When I’m just chillin’ I pop out the straps and get the swag on, they look sick and skate good, I’m lovin’ ‘em.”
So you found a sweet deal on some Skytops on Ebay or a sketchy website? It sounds to good to be true, but you order ‘em anyway. Unfortunately, when they finally get to your door months later they look like shit then fall apart after you walk about two blocks. Guess what? You just got faked!
The good news is that it’s pretty damn easy to tell the real deal Supras from the counterfeit fakers. But before we jump into that, here’s some easy ways to avoid getting hustled.
Hiphoper recently did an article about how bad the fakes were, here are some images and explanations from that article.
Starting with the boxes, the counterfeiters always use cheap cardboard and get the graphics wrong, the Supra Crown is obviously missing from the fake and is missing the barcode.
As well as being made from cheap plastic instead of leather, the fake on the right has an embossed crown all wrong and no metal eyelets for the laces. That way they save money, the lace holes stretch and rip out, and you look bad.
The most obvious things about these bread loafs is they usually can’t afford to use real vulk soles, and then they actually paint the black stripes on by hand. Yeah, super ghetto.
And finally pull out those soles. If you got some crappy paper thin cardboard insert instead of our cushy sole with our gel cushion, well, not only do your shoes look bad, your feet are going to hurt.

This weekend was a hammer exclusive on the streets! I met up with the Baker Deathwish posse at Rincon for a quick ham, while getting yelled at by a lady Cop. From there we headed to El Toro 2010, where the rail got KO’ed. Then off to UCSD too session a dope line spot.

Terry Kennedy burst on to the skate scene. Literally. He’s said to have moved from novice to pro in three short years. Since going pro, he’s scored a board with Baker, multiple music video appearances, and a roll in Rob Dyrdek’s Street Dreams.
What more could a guy ask for? The answer, for many of us, is simple. A signature shoe. With Supra, TK has found the brand and shortly will launch the “TK Society.” Hype for the shoe has been building for months. Peaks here and there. Chatter all over the web. You might be hard pressed to name a skate model, especially from a smaller label, that has generated as much buzz.
With any signature shoe the end product must do a few things – perform and stand out. No doubt, the “TK Society” has stood out from the crowd. In some respects, it captures the tenor of the time. High top. Heavily strapped. It appears geared to fashion. Given that, we wanted to chat with TK about the performance, as well as his involvement in the design process
It’s official! The international release for the Supra Society has been set for May 17th.
Leading up to the 17th, TK will be celebrating with a coast to coast tour from Cali to New York.
A very limited amount of shoes will be sold at the stores on the tour before the 17th, we will be listing the official dates and locations shortly.
